Ysgol Gynradd Gymunedol Gymraeg Llantrisant

Annwyl Rieni a Ffrindiau,

Yn YGGG Llantrisant, mae Llywodraethwyr, staff, rhieni a phlant yn gweithio gyda'i gilydd mewn amgylchedd hapus a chreadigol. Mae gan yr ysgol ddisgwyliadau uchel o'r plant ac mae hyn yn amlwg yn yr ymddygiad eithriadol sy'n cael ei arddangos trwy'r ysgol yn ogystal ag yn y safonau academaidd sy'n gyson uchel.

Mae'r Corff Llywodraethol yn ymwneud â'n hysgol ar bob lefel. Mae hyn yn cynnwys cyllid, diogelu, rheoli adeiladau ac apwyntiadau staff. Fel Llywodraethwyr, rydym o'r farn mai ein rôl bwysicaf yw diogelwch, lles ac addysg ein disgyblion a'n nod yw gweithredu fel ffrindiau beirniadol i'r ysgol i sicrhau bod pob penderfyniad yn cael ei wneud er budd gorau'r plant. 

Mae'r plant yn ein hysgol yn cyflawni safonau uchel ar draws y cwricwlwm. Rydym yn haeddiannol falch iawn ohonynt a hoffem ddiolch i'r rhieni sy'n annog ac yn cefnogi eu plant mor rhagorol. Mewn ysgol dda, fel ein hysgol ni, mae rhieni'n cymryd diddordeb mawr yn nysgu a datblygiad eu plentyn sy'n caniatáu i blant ddatblygu cymhelliant a diddordeb yn eu dysgu yn yr ystafell ddosbarth. Er mwyn gweld yr holl wybodaeth am yr hyn y mae'r plant yn ei ddysgu yn ogystal â gweledigaeth yr ysgol; gellir gweld lluniau a diweddariadau ar wefan a chyfrif Twitter yr ysgol.

Amcan sylfaenol YGGG Llantrisant yw hyrwyddo'r Gymraeg a dwyieithrwydd; er bod llawer o'r plant yn dod o gartrefi Saesneg eu hiaith, mae hyn yn amlwg ym mhob ystafell ddosbarth. Addysgir plant i gyfathrebu'n effeithiol mewn darllen, ysgrifennu ac iaith lafar yn Saesneg ac yn Gymraeg.

Penodir llywodraethwyr i sicrhau bod amcanion yn cael eu cyflawni, a bod cynllunio ar gyfer y dyfodol yn weledigaethol ac yn realistig. Rydym yn darparu cyfeiriad strategol ar gyfer gwella'r ysgol; monitro a gwerthuso effeithiolrwydd yr ysgol a dwyn yr ysgol i gyfrif am y safonau a gyflawnir ac ansawdd yr addysg. Rydyn ni yma i gefnogi ac annog ein Pennaeth, yr Uwch Dîm Arweinyddiaeth a holl bersonél yr ysgol i sicrhau bod gan bob un o'n plant fynediad at addysg gyfoethog ac i'r holl gyfleoedd maen nhw'n eu haeddu. Rydyn ni'n ymweld â'r ysgol yn rheolaidd ac rydyn ni bob amser wrth ein boddau o weld pa mor hapus a hyderus yw'r plant; mae athrawon yn gweithio'n galed i feithrin sgiliau annibynnol y plant o'r cyfnod sylfaen hyd at flwyddyn 6.

Rwy'n hynod falch fy mod wedi cael fy mhenodi'n Gadeirydd Llywodraethwyr YGGG Llantrisant ac edrychaf ymlaen at gefnogi'r Pennaeth a'r staff ymroddedig i barhau i ddatblygu ein hysgol ryfeddol. Mae'r plant yn YGGG Llantrisant yn glod i'w rhieni; athrawon a'r gymuned ac maent yn trosglwyddo i ysgolion uwchradd lleol fel disgyblion hyderus, hapus a llwyddiannus sy'n barod i barhau â'u haddysg.

Dear Parents and Friends, 

At YGGG Llantrisant, Governors, staff, parents and children work together in a happy and creative environment. The school has high expectations of the children and this is evident in the exceptional behaviour displayed throughout the school as well as in the consistently high academic standards.  
 

The Governing Body is involved with our school at every level. This includes finance, safeguarding, premises management and staff appointments. As Governors, we consider our most important role to be the safety, welfare and education of our pupils and aim to act as critical friends to the school to ensure that all decisions are made in the children’s best interests.
 

The children in our school achieve high standards across the curriculum. We are justifiably very proud of them and would like to thank the parents who encourage and support their children so admirably. In a good school, such as ours, parents take a great interest in their child’s learning and development which allows children to develop motivation and interest in their learning in the classroom. All the information about what the children are learning as well as the schools vision; pictures and updates can be found on the school’s website and Twitter feed. 
 

A fundamental objective of YGGG Llantrisant is the promotion of the Welsh language and bilingualism; despite many of the children coming from English speaking homes this is evident in all classrooms. Children are taught to communicate effectively in reading, writing and spoken language in both English and Welsh.  
 

Governors are appointed to ensure that objectives are met, and that future planning is both visionary and realistic. We provide strategic direction for the improvement of the school; monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the school and hold the school to account for the standards achieved and the quality of education. We are here to support and encourage our Headteacher, Senior Leadership Team and all school personnel to ensure that every one of our children has access to an enriched education and to all the opportunities that they deserve. We make regular visits to the school and are always thrilled to see how happy and confident the children are; teachers work hard to nurture the children’s independent skills from foundation phase through to year 6. 
 

I am immensely proud to have been appointed Chair of Governors of YGGG Llantrisant and look forward to supporting the committed Headteacher and staff to continue to develop our wonderful school. The children in YGGG Llantrisant are a credit to their parents; teachers and community and they transition to local secondary schools as confident, happy and successful pupils ready to continue their education.
