Language support sessions consist of games and activities that help children to develop their language and literacy skills. Visual aids and kinaesthetic materials can be key resources to help children learn letters of the alphabet, in addition to reading and spelling high frequency words. With these methods in mind, children can gain confidence in their work and achieve tasks independently.

Mrs Griffiths works closely with the Language Support team within RCT, seeking advice and ideas which are then implemented in the classroom.

Similar methods are used to develop mathematical skills where games and activities are set up to support children’s learning. Interactive resources, Numicon, board games and puzzles are amongst some of the tools used within these sessions.

Mae sesiynau cymorth iaith yn cynnwys gweithgareddau a gemau iaith sy'n helpu'r plant i ddatblygu eu sgiliau iaith a llythrennedd.  Gall adnoddau gweledol a chinesthetig fod yn allweddol yn y broses o helpu plant i ddysgu llythrennau'r wyddor yn ogystal â darllen a sillafu geiriau aml eu defnydd.  Wrth ddefnyddio'r dulliau hyn, gall plant fagu hyder tra'n gweithio a chyflawni yn annibynnol.

Mae Mrs Griffiths yn gweithio'n agos gyda Swyddogion Cynnal Dysgu RCT ac yn derbyn cyngor a syniadau i'w defnyddio ar lawr yr ystafell ddosbarth.

Defnyddir dulliau tebyg i ddatblygu sgiliau rhifedd y plant tra'n chwarae gemau mathemategol i gefnogi dysgu'r plant.  Yn ogystal, defnyddir adnoddau rhyngweithiol megis Numicon, gemau bwrdd a phosau o fewn sesiynau cymorth rhifedd.
